About the Client
New Holland Agriculture is a manufacturer of agricultural machinery such as tractors, combine harvesters, haying equipment, balers, grape harvesters and more. They are headquartered in Italy, but they have a manufacturing plant in Pune.
The Problem
With fire prevention in mind, the client wanted to expand their plant along with two additional areas separated with 2 hr. fire rated partition walls.
The Solution
Innovastu supplied and installed the 2hr. fire rated walls in their plant. This external firewall consists of fire rated drywall with LGS framing and is further clad with pre-coated GI sheeting. These walls are able to resist local wind pressure of 110 kg per square meter at a deflection limit of span/240 for a 14-meter height structure. The benefit of this is that when the client wishes to expanded their plant, all they need to do is to remove the sheeting over the walls and paint them for further use.The Product: Fire rated walls are part of the Passive Fire Protection Systems that are offered by Innovastu. These walls are specifically designed to sustain and encage fires from 1 to 4 hours. These are composite walls consisting of fire rated gypsum board with required light gauge steel framing and necessary fasteners.
